Their range also extends to kitchen knobs, kitchen taps, kitchen sinks, kitchen hinges, kitchen lighting, kitchen drawers, and a huge range of kitchen accessories.
Business problem
Transfer of the catalog structure (categories and products, with descriptions, and images), eCommerce platform, that requires separate versions for different countries (Ireland and the UK),
but without creating an additional website, old site design, the lack of flexible tax settings
and basic functionality of the e-commerce platform, and connection with the ERP system.
Solution
We set up a dedicated VPS, and transferred the site from the old self-written platform to the Prestashop platform;
Developed a custom solution for parsing products from Catalingua API to the Prestashop CMS;
Developed website integration with Business Central (Dynamics NAV);
Fine-tuning tax rules for Ireland (northern and southern) and the UK;
Setting up analytics and event tracking in Google Analytics;
Solving all issues related to redirects from the old to the new site and optimizing the site for SEO requirements.
Result
Completely new eCommerce solution based on Prestashop CMS, but with the old products and categories structure and integration with Business Central ERP for consistent pricing/quantity/availability updates, as well as updating Business Central with new orders information.
